Will every PDF become smaller?

No. This version optimizes internal PDF structure. It does not reduce image resolution or image quality. Already optimized and scanned PDFs may not shrink.

Will text remain selectable?

Pages are not rasterized. Existing text stays as PDF text; scanned pages do not gain selectable text.

What documents should I avoid?

Encrypted PDFs are unsupported. Do not use this tool for digitally signed documents: rewriting a PDF can invalidate its signatures. Specialized features may not survive rewriting; keep your original and check the output, including forms, links, and appearance.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Processing happens in your browser. Complex documents may exceed available browser memory even within the displayed limits.
